Today we are going to talk about a mountain boot named after the highest mountain in Slovenia and the Julian alps at 2864m, Triglav .
Boreal Triglav climbing / hiking boots is made for alpine terrain, but because it is flexible than B3 category boots so it is comfortable for walking and for trekking extended distances.
It has built in semi-automatic crampons so is suitable for technical winter climbing and glacial travel, scrambling, mountain walking and general summer alpinism .
We have paid around $300 on pair, and the reasons we choose this boot is Vibram Mulaz sole with dual density, Boreal Dry-Line for waterproofness a kind of Gore-tex membrane and semi-automatic crampons sole .
The manufacturer claims that is not a winter boot, but we used it in heavy conditions and it behaved perfectly . For the summer head I doubt these are nice to have it in your feet !
They are light that winter boots, warmy.
The only problem is that were made for narrow feet, so for me with not so narrow feet were ok, for those with wide feet, try it first !
So for winter, fall and early spring, on semi-technical trails these are great boots, at a fairly mid-high price .
