Nan, by Nestle, HA 1 is a premium partially hydrolysed starter infant formula .
Nan 1 HA is hypoallergenic formula for babies from 0-6 months and it is recommended for babies who could be prone to having allergies, but not necessarily, it can be used for other babies too .
Manufacturers says that is best for your babies to give only one kind of milk, and when you change your formula to go to the next step but same milk only (eg. Nan 1 to Nan 2) .
NAN provides a wide range of milk formulas for any babies needs.
But let’s start to tell you about Nan 1 HA.
All manufacturers say that it is best for the baby to be fed from the moms breast, and that we did .
After a while we started to feed our baby with Nan 1 HA because this time I was in the maternity hospital at night and that was the recommendation and it is suitable from birth if the baby cannot be fed from moms breast .
The price of the formula of 400 grams is 8-10$ and this is a high price that most infant milk formulas (probably because it is an hypoallergenic formula), but can be expensive or cheaper (eg. Humana, Milupa, Hipp) .
For hygiene and convenience, the packaging comes with a separate storage area for the scoop, and a semi-transparent plastic cap which allows you to see how much powder is left in the can without having to open it.
You can find it almost at any supermarket .
With milk formula we noticed that she gain weight better that breast feeding, but that is not necessarily same thing to all mothers and babies .
We had any issues with the product like stomach cramps, unusual winds or green poop all the time, we did had some green poop but not all the time .
The main problem was the constipation . Unfortunately from what we heard from other moms this is the main problem of this milk and even other formulas have this problem too (from 0-6 month formulas – number 1) . The problem was gone when we changed the next formula at 6 months .
We heard that also cow’s milk can lead to constipation, only soymilk is better, but unfortunately, some children are also soy protein intolerant, so is best to keep close eye on the baby .
So it is best to go with only one kind of milk, do not mix various formulas and ask medical professionals for advice if you have any small concern about your baby .
