When you need to perform a clean boot in Windows ?

Sometimes when you may want to eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update, your computer has a black screen and shortcuts and files are missing from the desktop or any Windows problem .

Booting in clean boot mode you computer is using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.

Log on to the computer by using an account that has administrator rights.

For Windows 10 you need to follow some basic steps :

1. Press Start and in search type msconfig
2. Select System Configuration from the search results and a window will open
3. In System Configuration window tap or click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then tap or click Disable all
4. Click the Startup tab of the System Configuration window and then tap or click Open Task Manager
5. In the Startup tab in Task Manager window, select all Enabled items and then click Disable
6. Close Task Manager window
7. Tap or click OK
8. Restart your computer

For Windows 8.1 and Windows 8

1. Click or swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then click or tap Search. In search box type msconfig .
2. Select System Configuration from the search results and a window will open
3. In System Configuration window tap or click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then tap or click Disable all
4. Click the Startup tab of the System Configuration window and then tap or click Open Task Manager
5. In the Startup tab in Task Manager window, select all Enabled items and then click Disable
6. Close Task Manager window
7. Tap or click OK
8. Restart your computer

For Windows7 and Vista

1. Click or swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then click or tap Search. In search box type msconfig .
2. In the General tab window, click the Selective startup option, and then click to clear the Load startup items check box.
3. In the Services tab window, click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.
Note This step lets Microsoft services continue to run. These services include Networking, Plug and Play, Event Logging, Error Reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you
