How to create and use an E-mail Message template in Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2016

For creating a email message template in Microsoft Outlook 2016, Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2010 you need to follow the steps bellow :

1. Open Outlook
2. Click Home.
3. In the New group, click New Email or press Ctrl+Shift+M.

In the new email window message body, enter the what ever you want to have in the new template.

1. After you completed the template you want to save, in the message window, click the File tab.
2. Click Save As.
3. In the Save As dialog box, in the Save as type list, click Outlook Template.
4. In the File name box, type whatever you want for your template name, and then click Save.

Default location for the Outlook templates is for Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, and Windows Vista c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\microsoft\templates .

To use it go to your template location, select the template, and then click Open. Add recipients in the To box, add the text in the subject box and add text or other stuff to the message body and the click Send.

For create a template in Office 2007 you need to follow the steps bellow :

1. Open Outlook
2. On the File menu, click New, and then click Mail Message or press Ctrl+Shift+M.
3. In the message body, enter the content you want.
4. In the message window, click the Microsoft Office Button Office button image, and then click Save As.
5. In the Save As dialog box, in the Save as type list, click Outlook Template.
6.In the File name box, type a name for your template, and then click Save.

Default location for the Outlook templates is for Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, and Windows Vista c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\microsoft\templates.

To use it :

1. In Outlook On the Tools menu, go to Forms, and then click Choose Form.
2. In the Choose Form window, in Look In, click User Templates in File System.
3. Select the template you want, and then click Open. Select the template you want to use and then click open to proceed.
4. Add recipients in the To box, add the text in the subject box and add text or other stuff to the message body.
5. Click Send.

In Outlook 2003 :

1. On the File menu, point to New, and then click Mail Message.
2. Type the recipient, subject, and message that you want.
3. On the File menu, click Save As.
4. In the Save As Type list, click Outlook Template (*.oft). The file name is automatically the subject line of your message.
5. Click Save.
