If you got a Dell laptop like a 13 inch XPS or any other Dell Notebook without a wired network card and you want to boot from network (PXE NIC boot) you need a Dell wd15 (USB Type-C) docking station to install Windows 10, Windows 8 or whatever operating sistem you want, if you realy want to use this option .

To do so, if you already go the laptop, you need to buy the docking station .

After that, connect your laptop to power source, connect the USB Type-C cable to the same port on your laptop, connect your docking station to power source and power up .

Then, if the laptop was powered up automatically by the dock, power it up, press F2 to enter BIOS setup.

In the BIOS settings you have to go to Settings :

1. System Configuration – Thunderbolt Adapter Configuration check Enable ThunderboltAdapter Pre-boot Modules
2. System Configuration – Thunderbolt Adapter Configuration check Enable Thunderbolt Adapter Boot Support

Save settings and restart.

After that press F12 to select boot device, the network card Realtek or whatever on your dosking station should appear under the main sata drive, select it and press enter.

If your networt card is not in the boot list (only Windows boot manager), select change boot type or whatever, select Legacy boot instead of UEFI and press enter, then after restart press F12 to select boot device, the network card Realtek or whatever on your dosking station should appear under the main sata drive, select it and press enter.
